looks cool!. a nice alternative to baking out from mudbox
a good way to "smack up" some examples or for cartoon texturing. or like here, for a reference.
here, i simply "freeze" the OpenGL lights onto a vertex map, i then bake the result to an image map using the bly Baker. all inside Modeler. bring the result into PhotoShop and start tweaking. also see > bly Texture Baker - Quick Preview ruclips.net/video/8GyFx89o4Ag/видео.html

update, good news, it now exports images to 8192x8192 pixels
note, after having added the plugin in Modeler, look for the name "PB TextureBaker"
in the new photoshop you can use the clone brush tool which let you pin a position from the canvas and when painting over something the original position move accordingly letting you paint what you need, there is also the same tool as shown in the video if needed. although what you showed in the video about affinity photo looks more similar to the "content aware fill" tool, which in addition it lets you sample a specific part of the image to do the inpaint. So all in all, photoshop have more tool with more functionality still but it's obvious how bad they are as a company. looking forward to affinity photo but it does lack a lot of the nice features of "recent" photoshop version
yes, Affinity surely lacks some things here and there.and only have CS3, since i don't like subscription or Adobe spyware. Such a shame tho'... Adobe PhotoShop used to be cool back in the days... 😐
@@erikals it's unfortunately still the best in it's own category, sure some other software could do better in some situations, but as a general image editing tool, there is not a real alternative with all of the functions and tools. i do agree that adobe sucks and that affinity will be the one that could detrhone photoshop, but it's still a long way to go. plus i also bought clip studio with their one off payment and they weren't exactly compliant in their statement either so i don't really trust any company anymore

not really a fair comparison with a CS3, but anyways, Affinity's inpaint looks solid

This video only shows the concept, if the checker pattern was "liquified / wavy" in Affinity Photo, then the result wouldn't look as good. but this video highlights some of those differences between Affinity Photo and PhotoShop.
